The Free 2-Minute PMOS Quiz: See If Your Symptoms Match the Pattern

1 in 10 women have PMOS, the condition formerly known as PCOS, and up to 70% don't know they have it. We built a free 2-minute symptom quiz with our Naturopathic Doctors so you can see how closely your pattern matches, instantly.

Here are two numbers worth sitting with. About 1 in 10 women of reproductive age have PMOS, the hormone condition formerly known as PCOS. And according to the World Health Organization, up to 70% of them have never had it recognized. That is not a rare disease hiding in the shadows. That is one of the most common hormone conditions in the world, going unnamed in the majority of the people living with it.

We think you deserve answers. So we built a free 2-minute symptom quiz with our Naturopathic Doctors, and a free 15-minute call for everyone who would rather just talk to a human. This is the plain-language guide to both: what the quiz asks, what your result actually means, and what happens next.

First, a quick name check: PMOS is the new PCOS

In May 2026, PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) was officially renamed PMOS: Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome. The condition did not change. The name caught up with the science, because the old one pointed at ovarian "cysts" that many people with the condition do not even have, while underplaying the hormone and metabolic patterns that actually drive it. If you have been searching for PCOS, PMOS is the same condition, and everything below applies.

Why do so many cases go unnoticed?

Because the symptoms scatter. PMOS rarely shows up as one dramatic problem. It shows up as several mid-sized ones, spread across systems that usually get treated separately.

  • Irregular or missing periods, or long unpredictable cycles
  • Adult acne, especially jawline breakouts that flare around your cycle
  • Hair thinning at the crown or part line, or unwanted facial and body hair
  • Weight that resists consistent effort
  • Sugar cravings, post-meal crashes, and brain fog
  • Low, draggy energy that never quite resolves

Each of those, on its own, has a dozen possible explanations. So the acne gets a cream, the cycles get a prescription, the weight gets a diet, and the pattern connecting them never gets named. In a stretched health system where appointments are short and 2.5 million Ontarians have no family doctor at all, nobody has the time to zoom out. That is the gap the quiz is built for.

How the free PMOS quiz works

The quiz lives at fitrahealth.ca/pmos-quiz. It is free, takes about 2 minutes, and asks for no email and no credit card. You answer eight questions and see your result instantly.

It was built with our CONO-registered Naturopathic Doctors around the three pillars used to think about PMOS:

  • Cycle: how often you get a period, and whether you see signs of regular ovulation
  • Androgen: hormonal-pattern acne, hair thinning, and unwanted hair growth
  • Metabolic: weight resistance, sugar cravings, energy crashes, and brain fog
  • Plus one family-history question, since PCOS or type 2 diabetes in your immediate family meaningfully raises risk

Your answers are scored across those pillars, and the result tells you how closely your symptoms match the PMOS pattern: a strong match, a moderate match, or not much of a match at all. Each flagged symptom comes with a short explanation of why it maps to a PMOS marker, so you leave understanding your own pattern rather than just holding a label.

What the quiz is, and what it is not

Wondering what this looks like for you?

Talk it through with a CONO-registered Naturopathic Doctor. Free, 15 minutes, no obligation.

Let us be precise, because this matters. The quiz is an informational symptom pattern check. It is not a medical diagnosis, and no online quiz can be one. A PMOS diagnosis follows the Rotterdam criteria and requires a physician, usually involving lab work and an assessment of your cycle history. What the quiz does is tell you whether your pattern is worth investigating, which is exactly the question most people are stuck on when they have been wondering for years and never quite brought it up.

What to do with your result

If your result shows a strong or moderate pattern match, the next step is a conversation, not a panic. At the end of the quiz you can book a free 15-minute video call with one of our licensed Naturopathic Doctors, or leave your name, number, and availability and have us book it for you. On that call you can walk through your flagged symptoms, ask what lab work would sharpen the picture, and find out whether naturopathic care makes sense for you.

If your result shows a low match, that is genuinely useful too. Something is still causing your symptoms, and it may simply not be PMOS. The same free call works for that conversation.

Don't like quizzes? Skip it

The quiz is one of two free front doors, not a gate. If you would rather just talk to a person, you can book the free 15-minute call directly, no quiz required. It is a real conversation with a licensed, CONO-registered Naturopathic Doctor about your symptoms and whether naturopathic medicine is right for you. No pressure and no commitment either way.

What happens after: the root-cause part

The quiz spots the pattern. The actual work, if you choose to go further, is finding what drives it for you specifically. PMOS shows up differently in different bodies: for some people the engine is insulin resistance, for others it is more androgen-driven, and stress and sleep pull on all of it. A Naturopathic Doctor takes a full hour for the first visit, maps your history, runs targeted lab work where it helps, and builds a plan around your diet, lifestyle, and the support your body responds to. We work alongside your family doctor and specialists, never instead of them, and we never tell anyone to stop a prescribed medication.

Naturopathic visits are not covered by OHIP, but they are covered by most extended health benefit plans in Ontario, and we offer direct billing. The quiz and the 15-minute call cost nothing.

Take the free 2-minute PMOS quiz at fitrahealth.ca/pmos-quiz, or book a free 15-minute call with a Naturopathic Doctor directly. Ontario residents only.

FAQ

Is the PMOS quiz a diagnosis?

No. The quiz is an informational symptom pattern check built with CONO-registered Naturopathic Doctors. It tells you how closely your symptoms match the PMOS pattern, which helps you decide whether it is worth investigating. A formal PMOS diagnosis follows the Rotterdam criteria and requires a physician.

How accurate is a PCOS or PMOS symptom checker?

A symptom checker is a screening conversation, not a lab test. The quiz mirrors the three pillars clinicians actually think in (cycle, androgen, metabolic) plus family history, so a strong pattern match is a meaningful signal that your symptoms deserve a closer look. It cannot rule the condition in or out on its own, which is why the free 15-minute call with a Naturopathic Doctor exists as the follow-up step.

What is PMOS, and is it the same as PCOS?

Yes. PMOS (Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome) is the new official name for PCOS, adopted in May 2026. The rename reflects that the condition is driven by hormone and metabolic patterns rather than ovarian cysts, which many people with the condition never have. Diagnosis criteria did not change.

What happens after I take the quiz?

You see your result immediately: how closely your pattern matches PMOS, which symptoms were flagged, and why each one matters. From there you can book a free 15-minute video call with a Naturopathic Doctor, request a callback by leaving your name, number, and availability, or simply keep your result. There is no email gate and nothing to buy.

Do I need to take the quiz before booking the free call?

No. The quiz and the call are two separate free paths. If you would rather skip straight to a conversation with a licensed Naturopathic Doctor about your symptoms, you can book the free 15-minute call directly at fitrahealth.ca.
