Accessibility Statement
Fitra Health Inc. is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying relevant accessibility standards.
Our Commitment
Fitra Health is dedicated to making its website accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability.
We aim to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA as required by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and its Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (O. Reg. 191/11). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide array of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.
Accessibility is treated as an ongoing product responsibility at Fitra Health — not a one-time checklist.
What We Do
Our accessibility efforts cover structure, interaction, readability, and assistive technology compatibility.
- Providing text alternatives for non-text content.
- Ensuring content can be perceived by all users, including those using assistive technologies.
- Making all interactive functionality available through keyboard navigation.
- Providing sufficient colour contrast and readable text sizing.
- Ensuring compatibility with screen readers and other assistive technologies.
- Designing responsive layouts that work across devices and screen sizes.
- Using semantic HTML and clear heading structure to improve comprehension.
Known Limitations
While we strive for full compliance, some areas involve third-party platforms outside our direct control.
The Platform integrates with third-party services such as Jane App for booking and virtual consultations. While we encourage our providers to meet accessibility standards, we do not have direct control over their accessibility features. We are working to ensure that all integrated solutions are as accessible as possible.
We maintain a multi-year accessibility plan in accordance with AODA and the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation, reviewed and updated at least once every five (5) years.
Request Accommodations
If you need materials in an alternative format or require an accommodation, we are here to help.
When contacting us, please specify: the nature of the accessibility issue, the web page address (URL) where you encountered the difficulty, and the alternative format you require (e.g., larger print, accessible PDF, audio format).
We will make all reasonable efforts to accommodate your request in a timely manner and aim to respond to accessibility feedback within five (5) business days.
